Mechanical completion of the construction work: early followed by pre-commissioning - 2011

On completion of the main construction work, all mechanical and electrical connections will be made and a start will be made on pressure testing the systems, internal cleaning and testing the sub-systems. In the next phase, the utility services will first be taken into operation and final inspections will be made to prepare the terminal for its first liquefied natural gas. This phase will be closed by drying all the systems that will be filled with LNG and natural gas and introducing a nitrogen atmosphere. Finally, the pipes between the jetty and the storage tanks will be pre-cooled with liquid nitrogen so that the terminal is ready for its first shipment of liquefied natural gas. All operational procedures will also be completed and tested during this phase.
